Stripe + Slack integration

Turn every Stripe event into a Slack answer.

Connect Stripe to Slack once. ChargeBell listens for the payment signals you care about, adds the context a webhook leaves out, and routes each alert to the right channel.

Read-only Stripe access

See payment events, never move money.

No Slack message history

Post to selected channels, never listen in.

About two minutes to connect

OAuth both accounts, pick a channel, test.

One connection, useful signals

Route the event by what it means, not where it came from.

A finance team, founder, and support lead do not need the same Stripe feed. ChargeBell lets each signal land where someone can act on it.

The useful layer

Stripe sends an object. Your team needs an answer.

ChargeBell resolves the event into a message someone can understand without opening API docs or doing arithmetic.

  "data": { "object": { ... } },
  "customer": "cus_R9...",

Correct, complete, and still not something a teammate should have to decode.

Connect once

From empty channel to live alert in three steps.

No webhook endpoint, template builder, or field mapping. The test alert proves the complete path before a real payment arrives.

  1. 01

    Approve read-only Stripe access

Stripe shows the account and requested OAuth access before you connect.

  2. 02

    Add ChargeBell to Slack

Approve the Slack scopes and choose the channels that should receive alerts.

  3. 03

Send a test, then tune the signal

Confirm delivery, route alert types, and set thresholds or quiet hours.

Deliberately narrow permissions

Enough access to deliver the alert. Nothing that can operate your business.

Stripe stays the source of truth. Slack stays your workspace. ChargeBell is the narrow bridge between the event and the channel you selected.

Review every permission and data boundary

Cannot create, refund, or cancel payments

Cannot move funds or initiate payouts

Cannot read Slack message history

Can be disconnected by a workspace owner

Clear answers

Stripe and Slack integration questions

What does the ChargeBell Stripe Slack integration do?

It watches the Stripe events you enable, adds useful payment context, and posts a plain-English alert to the Slack channel you choose. Supported signals include payments, failures, refunds, disputes, subscriptions, customers, and payouts.

Does ChargeBell need write access to Stripe?

No. ChargeBell uses a read-only Stripe OAuth connection. It can read the payment events needed to build alerts, but it cannot create charges, issue refunds, cancel subscriptions, move funds, or change your Stripe account.

Can ChargeBell read our Slack messages?

No. ChargeBell does not request Slack message-history scopes. It asks for the permissions needed to list eligible channels, post alerts as the ChargeBell app, and support its slash command.

Which Slack channel should receive Stripe alerts?

Many teams send successful payments to #revenue, failed payments and disputes to #billing, and subscription changes to #customer-success. ChargeBell lets you route alert types separately instead of sending every event into one noisy feed.

How is this different from forwarding raw Stripe webhooks?

Raw webhooks contain nested API objects and identifiers. ChargeBell turns them into readable messages with the amount, customer, net after fees, MRR movement, decline context, and a Stripe link when those fields are relevant and available.
