One connection, useful signals
A finance team, founder, and support lead do not need the same Stripe feed. ChargeBell lets each signal land where someone can act on it.

Connect once
No webhook endpoint, template builder, or field mapping. The test alert proves the complete path before a real payment arrives.
Stripe shows the account and requested OAuth access before you connect.
Approve the Slack scopes and choose the channels that should receive alerts.
Confirm delivery, route alert types, and set thresholds or quiet hours.
Deliberately narrow permissions
Stripe stays the source of truth. Slack stays your workspace. ChargeBell is the narrow bridge between the event and the channel you selected.

Cannot move funds or initiate payouts
Cannot read Slack message history

Clear answers
It watches the Stripe events you enable, adds useful payment context, and posts a plain-English alert to the Slack channel you choose. Supported signals include payments, failures, refunds, disputes, subscriptions, customers, and payouts.
No. ChargeBell uses a read-only Stripe OAuth connection. It can read the payment events needed to build alerts, but it cannot create charges, issue refunds, cancel subscriptions, move funds, or change your Stripe account.
No. ChargeBell does not request Slack message-history scopes. It asks for the permissions needed to list eligible channels, post alerts as the ChargeBell app, and support its slash command.
Many teams send successful payments to #revenue, failed payments and disputes to #billing, and subscription changes to #customer-success. ChargeBell lets you route alert types separately instead of sending every event into one noisy feed.
Raw webhooks contain nested API objects and identifiers. ChargeBell turns them into readable messages with the amount, customer, net after fees, MRR movement, decline context, and a Stripe link when those fields are relevant and available.
