Why we built ChargeBell
Payments happen in Stripe, but the people who act on them usually work in Slack. ChargeBell connects the two so founders, SaaS teams, agencies, ecommerce operators, and service businesses see each payment event when it happens.
ChargeBell doesn't replace Stripe. It puts the payment events that need attention in the Slack channel where your team will see them.
What ChargeBell does
ChargeBell sends Slack alerts for Stripe events such as successful payments, failed payments, new customers, subscription changes, refunds, disputes, and test alerts. You connect Stripe, connect Slack, choose a channel, turn on the alert types you want, and send a test alert. If you sign in with Google, ChargeBell uses Google OAuth only to sign you in and manage your ChargeBell account.
Each alert is written in plain English. It includes details such as the customer and the amount, which your team needs to decide what to do next, so nobody has to open Stripe first.
How we handle trust
- We use OAuth where possible, so you connect and revoke access through Stripe, Slack, and Google.
- We track Stripe sales and related payment events only to deliver alerts, show alert history, enforce plan limits, and support your account.
- We don't sell customer, sales, Stripe, Slack, or Google OAuth data.
- Alert tracking never creates, refunds, cancels, edits, or otherwise changes Stripe customers, payments, subscriptions, disputes, or other Stripe objects.
- We store only the account, integration, alert, and sales event data needed to run the service.
- We encrypt stored data and OAuth tokens in transit and at rest, and limit who can access them.
- You can disconnect any integration from your settings.
- Legal, privacy, billing, and support contacts are listed on the contact page.
How we write and check our guides
The product team that builds ChargeBell's Stripe and Slack connections writes and reviews its guides, event explainers, and comparison pages. We check technical claims against Stripe and Slack documentation, and check pricing claims against each provider's official pricing page before we publish.
Comparison pages say when ChargeBell is the product being compared, and they say when the alternative is the better fit. Each page shows an updated date and links to its sources. We revise a page when a provider or product change makes it wrong. Send corrections to support@chargebell.com.
